INSIDE44 DOCUMENTARY
The Inside44 documentary tells the true story of a mission that should’ve been impossible.
Artist Darko Markovic – DarMar was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 13. He was rejected by the University for design and architecture and told he had no talent. Later, he was kicked out of the design industry simply because of his passport. In 2015, doctors told him there was no solution for his condition.
No publishers believed in his vision. No studios wanted to take the risk.
So he did the impossible—alone. What would normally take a team of 50+ was created by one man.
After a decade of rejection and silence, Inside44 was finally released on July 9, 2025, from Serbia—a country no one expected a project of this scale to emerge from.
It’s a fully built sci-fi universe, combining original art, design, and story across 544 pages. Part graphic novel, part encyclopedia—a museum of sci-fi in book form, and arguably one of the most ambitious projects ever made by a single creator.
When no one gave him a way, he made his own.
