ROBOT DOG DESIGN FOR COLDPLAY BAND

CLIENT

In 2021, I had the opportunity to collaborate on Coldplay’s Higher Power music video, where I designed the robotic dogs featured in the film.

The robotic dogs became a recognizable visual element of Coldplay’s Higher Power campaign and were used across the band’s promotional materials throughout that year.

IDEATION

The design challenge was to create a form that felt unmistakably robotic while remaining immediately recognizable as a dog, with engineering constraints carefully considered to ensure clean, believable animation. After multiple iterations, the final designs were developed in 3D and subsequently translated into the video by Mathematic, whose team executed the animation and integration with exceptional precision.
